Environmentally Speaking . . . Preserving Water Resources

You have seen other information on this topic in previous editions of our newsletter, and you can learn more about the program by visiting the Southwest Michigan Commission’s website for more information.The Environmental Protection Agency’s Storm Water Phase II program is the next step in an effort to preserve, protect and improve the nation’s water resources from polluted storm water runoff. Municipalities in Berrien and Cass County, including the City of Niles, are working together with the Southwest Michigan Commission to plan for cleaner water and to educate residents about watersheds, water quality, and explain what you can do to ensure cleaner and safer water resources.
